On 5 October 2026, Assistant Professor Mehmet Ali Mersin and our second-year students attended UFest, hosted by Aksaray University. The event, held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz, provided students with valuable information about Türkiye’s investments in transportation and infrastructure, as well as emerging transportation technologies.
During the event, current topics such as smart transportation systems, artificial intelligence, autonomous technologies, electric and sustainable transportation, railway investments, aviation, and communication technologies were discussed. Students also visited stands organized by institutions and companies from different areas of the transportation sector, giving them the opportunity to interact with industry representatives and learn about current technological developments.
The event contributed to students’ ability to connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world sector applications, follow technological developments more closely, and experience university-industry interaction. UFest provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore developments in transportation technologies and gain broader perspectives on potential career opportunities in technology-driven sectors.
